Á sýningunni Oceanic Connections sýnir Guðbjörg Lind Jónsdóttir málverk og innsetningar sem eiga rætur í landslagi Vestfjarða og eru í sterkum tengslum við hafið. Í verkunum fléttast saman litur, ljós og andrúmsloft sem endurspegla síbreytilegt samspil náttúruafla, minninga og skynjunar. Hafið birtist sem bæði líkamlegt og táknrænt afl sem mótar landslag og líf þeirra sem byggja afkomu sína á því. Verkin bjóða áhorfandanum að staldra við og íhuga fegurð, viðkvæmni og seiglu strandsvæða.

In Oceanic Connections, Guðbjörg Lind Jónsdóttir presents paintings and installations rooted in the landscapes of Iceland’s Westfjords and closely connected to the sea. Throughout the works, colour, light and atmosphere intertwine, reflecting the ever-changing interplay of natural forces, memory and perception. The sea emerges as both a physical and metaphorical presence, shaping the landscape and the lives of those whose livelihoods depend on it. The works invite viewers to pause and reflect on the beauty, fragility and resilience of coastal environments.
